Revived, Renewed, Reimagined Monuments
PLAN 4, in partnership with the Cooltural Association „Nouă Ne Pasă!”, invites you on Sunday, 13 September, to a day dedicated to cultural heritage and to the role each of us can play in its protection and enhancement.
At a time when heritage is being challenged by urban, social and climate transformations, we invite you to discover an example of good practice: the Captain Pandele House, home to PLAN 4, a historic monument brought back to life through a restoration and adaptive reuse project that demonstrates that heritage can have a future.
Programme

We invite you to discover the story of the house at 4 Plantelor Street and explore the architectural details, history and transformations of a building representative of late 19th-century Bucharest.
The tours will offer an opportunity to discuss heritage, restoration and the ways in which historic buildings can once again become living spaces for their communities.

From Heritage to Experience: Examples of Good Practice in Activating Cultural Heritage
Presented by historian Anita Sterea, President of the Cooltural Association „Nouă Ne Pasă!”.
The talk offers an exploration of projects and initiatives demonstrating how heritage can become a tool for education, local development and community engagement. We will look at examples from Romania, spanning both built and intangible heritage, as well as the ways in which cultural experiences can contribute to protecting and reinterpreting our shared legacy.
Starting from this year’s European Heritage Days theme, “Heritage at Risk: Revive, Resist, Reimagine”, we will explore together how we can:
- Revive the stories, traditions and memories of places;
- Resist the challenges that threaten our heritage;
- Reimagine the ways in which we activate and pass it on to future generations.
