The NGO

The Association for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Heritage (APPIC) was founded in 2016, out of a passion for art, architecture, and iconic buildings of Bucharest, with the goal of preserving, researching, and enhancing the cultural, material, and immaterial historical heritage. At the same time, APPIC’s mission is to educate communities about the importance of cultivating concerns that honor, maintain, and develop these societal, historical, and identity legacies.

The aim of APPIC’s projects is to increase awareness of the importance of protecting and valuing heritage, sharing information about the architecture and characteristics of bourgeois houses from the late 19th to the first half of the 20th century, as well as raising community awareness about critical issues regarding the restoration and conservation of heritage sites.

The restoration project of the villa at Plantelor Street no.4 , a category B historical monument, aimed to improve the functional and aesthetic quality of the urban environment in its perimeter and to revalue it for current benefits through art, culture, and meetings curated and implemented under the umbrella of PLAN PATRU.
